Vintage Lacy Dress

There's something about lace that says sexy without screaming it out loud.  I was inspired to write about it when I received my daily "greeting" from Etsy (I just love seeing what's out there).  I saw the lace on the back of this dress and I instantly said, "that's so cute!"

I'm not in search of a wedding dress or need a fancy dress at the moment, however, I just love looking at the styles and the pretty-ness of it all. 

This one, below, has always been a favorite of mine.  I have been eyeing it since I first saw it a few months ago.  I just love it's sophistication and class.  I'm not much for showing skin so I truly fell in love with this one by Allure Bridals.

There are lots of people I know who are getting hitched this year or next.  It's really exciting to see what their dresses and design choices will be.  There's so much out there!  I understand why there are so many brides who are feeling overwhelmed.  It's all about finding the right dress and within reason of one's budget. 

There was a point when brides disliked lace (and some still do today) because it reminded them of their grandmother's (or mother's) dress.  What's your take on lace?
